| EmmaLily Vineyards was named after my two daughters. WE are a small family and friends run vineyard. It has been both Laura's and my dream to grow, make and distribute wine, (ok, more mine than Laura but she loves to drink them!) The limited releases will only be distributed through this wine club. We bottled two thirds of the wine in large format, with the remaining one third in regular 750 ml bottles. Thank you to my Dad, Franz and Mark for bottling with me. We bottle in large format as we want our wine to be shared with friends and family on special occasions or just because life is way too short not to enjoy now. If you are like us, we can never only open one bottle with friends, heck it is hard to stop at only opening two magnums. |
I recommend opening the 750's soon so you can decide on your favorite and re-order while inventory lasts. It will also give you an idea of how long you would like to lay down and store the magnums or just open them up now with friends! You will want to decant for 45 minutes so the wine can open up due to the young age. Our love for Cabernet has continued to grow, yet our pallets continue to evolve. Laura likes a more fruit forward wine yet balanced with earthly flavors (thanks DAN). I on the other hand, like less fruit on the front and big complex, long finishing wines.
